Un appuntamento d’eccezione per tutti gli appassionati di fumetto e di arte visiva, sabato 9 aprile (ore 17) nella storica Piazza Gramsci a Carrara.
AUSONIA, un’artista che è un caleidoscopio di idee e sperimentazioni, ci parlerà delle sue ultime produzioni, come la trilogia di ”INTERNI”(DOUbLe SHOt), ma svelerà soprattutto se stesso, la sua ispirazione e la sua incredibile tecnica.
Dopo la personale antologica che Lucca Comics ha dedicato all’opera dell’autore, sarà l’occasione per parlare anche dei progetti futuri e di vedere all’opera uno dei più affermati autori italiani.
L’incontro è organizzato dalla fumetteria “Heavy Bolter” di Carrara, nell’ambito della rassegna incontrARCI.

Amazon fa lo sconto del 35% su tutti i libri e fumetti in italiano


Oggi il sito Amazon ha iniziato una vendita promozionale dei libri in italiano. Amazon farà lo sconto minimo del 35% su tutti i libri e fumetti.

Il settimanale gratuito The Village Voice pubblicato a New York e in rete ha dedicato l'ultimo numero ai fumetti in occasione del MoCCA Fest che si terrà al Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art dal 9 all'11 aprile.
Sulla copertina di The Village Voice è stato pubblicato un mash-up molto divertente: Charlie Brown, Olivia Oyl, Archie, Dilbert, Wonder Woman e Dagwood sono stati disegnati da Ward Sutton rispettivamente nello stile di Jack Kirby, Robert Crumb, Peter Bagge, Charles Burns, Lynda Barry e Chris Ware.

In Fear Itself n. 2 esplode il Campidoglio


Nei fumetti della Marvel usciti questa settimana sono state pubblicate tre pagine che pubblicizzano Fear Itself n. 2 di Matt Fraction e Stuart Immonen. Nell'immagine in alto si nota che il Campidoglio, sede dei due rami del congresso degli Stati Uniti, è in fiamme. L'albo si intitola Blitzkrieg U.S.A. (Blitzkrieg è un termine tedesco che significa "guerra lampo").

DC Comics pubblica i fumetti retroattivi


La casa editrice DC Comics ha annunciato l'uscita di una nuova linea di fumetti denominata Retro-Active. Usciranno 18 albi dedicati a Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Justice League, Green Lantern e Batman (tre per ogni personaggio). Ogni albo conterrà un fumetto inedito di 26 pagine affiancato dalla ristampa di storie classiche.

Ad ogni personaggio saranno dedicate tre uscite nelle quali i fumetti inediti saranno realizzati nello stile in voga negli anni '70, '80 e '90.

Rey Mysterio travestito da Capitan America a Wrestlemania XXVII


La scorsa notte è stata disputata la XXVII edizione di Wrestlemania della WWE.
Per l'occasione Rey Mysterio ha indossato un costume da Capitan America. In passato il wrestler si era travestito anche da Joker, Devil, Spider-Man, Silver Surfer, Iron Man e Flash.
Nel sito della WWE c'è una galleria di fotografie dello scontro fra Rey Mysterio e Cody Rhodes.


A settembre inizia Buffy stagione 9


La casa editrice Dark Horse ha annunciato che in settembre inizierà la stagione n. 9 di Buffy. La serie Buffy - The Vampire Slayer, iniziata come telefilm, è stata trasformata in fumetto a partire dall'ottava stagione. Il primo numero sarà scritto da Joss Whedon (creatore del personaggio) mentre gli episodi successivi saranno scritti a quattro mani da Whedon e Andrew Chambliss (sceneggiatore di alcuni episodi dei telefilm Dollhouse, Vampire Diaries e Heroes). I disegni saranno di Georges Jeanty, che aveva già realizzato alcuni numeri della stagione 8, e le copertine saranno di Jo Chen. La serie durerà 25 numeri.
Sempre a proposito del Buffyverse, in agosto esordirà un'altra maxiserie di 25 numeri intitolata Angel & Faith. Gli autori saranno Christos Gage e Rebekah Isaacs.

Warren Ellis è il nuovo scrittore di Secret Avengers


Warren Ellis scriverà la serie mensile Secret Avengers a partire dal numero 16. L'autore inglese adotterà la stessa struttura della miniserie Global Frequency che aveva scritto per la Wildstorm: ogni episodio sarà autoconclusivo e disegnato da un autore diverso.
Il disegnatore di Secret Avengers n. 16 sarà Jamie McKelvie, noto per la miniserie Phonogram della Image.
